Mar 07, 2018 (newstodate): Ever-expanding LCC Norwegian Air International is now targeting Canada for low-cost long-haul flights from Europe, pending government approval.
According to Canada's Transport Agency, the carrier has applied for a scheduled international license to operate a service between member states of the European Community and Canada.
Norwegian indicates that it intends to commence commercial activities in Canada on July 23, 2018, and that it is in the process of obtaining a Canadian aviation document from Transport Canada, which is required to complete the license application.
So far, no further details concerning routes between EU and Canada have been made public.
