Mar 13, 2018 (newstodate): Pending last approvals, a new Czech airline is planning for launch of services from spring 2018.
Set up in January 2018 and still under formation, Blue Air Moravia will operate one Boeing 737-500 aircraft from its base at Brno Turany Airport, initially planning for five flights to Milan, Rome, Barcelona, Brussels, and Lviv, adding another two new routes from summer 2018 to Split and Dubrovnik.
The project for the new carrier was driven by the close-down from January of flights by Wizz Air, leaving Ryanair alone in providing a limited volume of flights at the airport since from 2005.
