Mar 01, 2018 (newstodate): AviaAM Financial Leasing China, a JV between AviaAM Leasing and the Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Company, has named Tomas Sidlauskas new CEO.
Mr Sidlauskas has served with the Group since 2012, first as a Senior Project Manager, rising to the position as VP Sales and member of the Board of Directors in 2014.
Mr Sidlauskas succeeds Domas Girtavicius, the former CEO of the company who worked for two years in setting up AviaAM Financial Leasing China.
The target of AviaAM Financial Leasing China is the narrow-body aircraft markets in China and other thriving economies of Asia seeing double-digit air traffic growth and local carriers requiring thousands of new aircraft over the following 15-20 years.
To bridge the gap between aircraft manufacturers' production limits and airlines' insatiable demand for capacity, the fleet of AviaAM Leasing and HNCA JV will include both newly built and mid-life Boeing 737 NG and Airbus A320ceo aircraft.
In the European context, Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Company, set up in 2011, is also known from its acquisition in December 2013 of 35 percent of Luxembourg's cargo carrier Cargolux.
