Mar 16, 2018 (newstodate): The Lithuanian ACMI and charter carrier GetJet Airlines did not have to wait long for a customer to sign the first of two Airbus A320 aircraft now entering the fleet.
Finnair has announced a lease agreement with GetJet for an Airbus A320 aircraft and flight deck crew to support Finnairs growing traffic from summer 2018 to early 2019.
The aircraft will have GetJet cockpit crew while cabin crews will provide services at Finnair levels.
The leased GetJet aircraft will operate some of Finnair's flights from Helsinki to Budapest, Berlin, Vienna, Prague, Krakow and Paphos during the period June 8, 2018 - January 7, 2019.
On January 7, 2018, GetJet received its IOSA-certificate clearing the sky for ACMI contracts with larger carriers such as Finnair that has the IOSA status as a precondition for business partnerships.
In the fleet of GetJet - with Darius Viltrakis serving as CEO since February 1, 2018 - are also four Boeing 737-400 and two Boeing 737-300 aircraft
