Mar 26, 2018 (newstodate): Turkish Airlines has increased capacity on its route to Finland with larger aircraft.
Operating flights between Istanbul and Helsinki with Airbus A321 aircraft, the carrier is now allocating the Airbus A330-300 wide-body aircraft on the route increasing seat capacity by some 30 percent on two daily rotations during the summer 2018 schedule.
The carrier launched passenger flights to Helsinki in 2006 and has periodically been operating up to three daily rotations on the route.
So far the Airbus 330 operations are scheduled for the summer season while a decision on making this service permanent will be made before the end of the current schedule.
Serving Finland, Turkish Cargo has also been operating two freighter rotations at Helsinki Airport since December 2011, adding a third rotation in June 2016.
