Mar 22, 2018 (newstodate): After more than 10 years of analysis and several rounds of aborted negotiations, Ryanair is now finally on the approach to the Ukrainian market.
Ryanair has announced the opening of a spree of flights from two airports in Ukraine, Kiev and Lviv, in direct competition with Wizz Air that has been in the Ukrainian market with the first flight on July 18, 2008.
For a start, Ryanair will be operating flights from Kiev and Lviv on 15 routes, of which 11 are in direct competition to existing Wizz Air flights to the same destinations.
Among four routes without direct Wizz Air competition are flights to Stockholm Skavsta from Kiev, while Ryanair will now also provide flights on the route between Kiev and Vilnius, in Lithuania.
