Mar 02, 2018 (newstodate): Denmark's Billund Airport continued on its positive growth curve in air cargo, February 2018.
A total of 5,566 tonnes of cargo was handled at Billund Airport in February 2018, increasing 10.8 percent, y-o-y.
Totals included 3,601 tonnes of exports, up 0.7 percent, y-o-y, but imports increased by no less than 35.9 percent, to 1,965 tonnes.
After the first two months of this year, the airport has thus seen volumes handled up by 12.8 percent, y-o-y, to 11,639 tonnes including 7,493 tonnes of exports, up 10.7 percent, and 4,146 tonnes of imports, rising 16.8 percent.
In 2017, the airport set a new record with a total of 72,470 tonnes of cargo, an increase by 8.8 percent over the preceding year that was already another record year.
