Mar 21, 2018 (newstodate): The Chinese company Tempus Global Business Service plans to invest in a Russian carrier to boost air services between the two markets.
Tempus Global Business Service Holding Ltd. thus plans to invest in the Russian airline iFly for bilateral business cooperation, focusing on iFly to operate regular flights between China and Russia.
The two companies will jointly push for the opening of new flights between more Chinese and Russian cities operated by iFly.
The Russian airline plans to offer at least 11 new flights during this year's summer season, including flights between Chinese cities such as Shenzhen, Taiyuan, Nanjing, Fuzhou, Changsha, Wuhan, Nanning, Jinan and Guiyang, and the Russian cities Moscow and St Petersburg.
Plans also comprise the opening of routes between Russia and Europe, the Middle East and the Caribbean, using Moscow as a transit hub for Chinese passengers.
Based at Moscow Vnukovo International Airport, iFly operates a fleet comprising two Boeing 757-200 and four Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
