Feb 16, 2018 (newstodate): Ryanair has been looking into opening flights from Ukraine for over 10 years. Now a decision to launch services seems close at hand..
In January 2018, Ukraine's minister of infrastructure, Vladimir Omelyan said that Ryanair's arrival in Ukraine would start from September 2018, and this is now further substantiated by Ryanair's Chief Legal & Regulatory Officer and Company Secretary, Juliusz Komorek, in an interview with a Polish media.
Ryanair was last expected to enter the Ukrainian market from March 2017, with flights on four routes from Kiev and seven routes from Lviv.
These plans were, however stalled pending solution of outstanding issues with Ukraine over airport charges - but these issues now seem to have been solved.
