Feb 01, 2018 (newstodate): A sound increase in export volumes secured a strong start in cargo at Denmark's Billund Airport.
In January 2018 the airport handled a total of 6,073 tonnes of cargo, an increase by 14.7 percent, y-o-y.
Exports were up by 21.9 percent to 3,892 tonnes, while imports were up more modestly by 3.7 percent to 2,181 tonnes.
At the same time, January 2018 was also the best-performing January ever at Billund Airport, measured in cargo volumes.
In 2017, the airport set a new record with a total of 72,470 tonnes of cargo, an increase by 8.8 percent over the preceding year that was already another record year.
