Feb 12, 2018 (newstodate): Copenhagen Airport has now joined the list of airports with a CEIV certified handling company.
By the end of January 2018, Spirit Air Cargo Handling, the SAS Group's fully-owned subsidiary, completed IATA's CEIV Pharma Certification process, receiving the globally consistent and recognized pharmaceutical product handling certification.
After the certification of Spirit Air Cargo Handling at the main SAS hub, work is progressing on a similar process towards CEIV certification of the two other SAS hubs at Stockholm and Oslo.
Earlier, SAS Cargo received its formal CEIV certification from IATA on July 31, 2017, rendering the carrier fully capable of handling pharmaceuticals and other high-yield sensitive shipments requiring enhanced quality and special procedures.
