Feb 16, 2018 (newstodate): the Icelandic-owned Primera Travel Group with airlines based in Denmark and Latvia is facing a rapid expansion of its aircraft fleet over the coming few years.
The airline is currently operating a fleet comprising nine Boeing 737NG aircraft, and one more of this type is soon joining the fleet.
But 2018 will also see the delivery of eight Airbus A321neo in 2018, 10 Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft will follow in 2019, and eight MAX 9 as well as two Airbus A321LR aircraft will be delivered in 2020.
The two airlines in the Group are Primera Air in Denmark, and Primera Air Nordic based in Latvia where the joint headquarters is also placed.
With the coming new fleet, the carriers will expand into the long-haul markets with flights from European destinations to points in both western and eastern markets exercising rights under its two AOCs in Denmark and Latvia, respectively.
