Feb 22, 2018 (newstodate): Set up by Chinese capital, Georgia's coming new airline MyWay Airlines has detailed plans for its aircraft fleet build-up.
In the fleet now are two ex-Shandong Airlines Boeing 737-800 aircraft delivered in October and November 2017, respectively, a third aircraft will be delivered in July 2018, and a fourth will be added before the end of 2018.
Flight operations will be launched by the end of March or early April 2018, first on a charter basis and later as regular scheduled flights from Tbilisi International Airport to destinations in Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Iran and Israel.
As the next stage, the possibility of flights to the UAE and European countries will be considered.
The airline is part of the activities of the Chinese investment group Hualing that is also behind the establishing of a new industrial zone in Kutaisi as well as numerous real estate projects in Tbilisi and Kutaisi.
