Feb 19, 2018 (newstodate): Iran Air will indeed start flights to its 3rd destination in Sweden, Malmo, from March 31, 2018.
But instead of operating the route with an airbus A300, as originally planned, the carrier will introduce the Airbus A330-200 aircraft on the route served once weekly.
This brings the coming new route on a par with the other two existing Iran Air services to Sweden, Stockholm and Gothenburg that are also served with Airbus A330-200 aircraft with three and two weekly rotations from Tehran Imam Khomeini Airport, respectively.
Stockholm Arlanda was actually the carrier's first destination served with the Airbus A330-200 from May 3, 2017, after Iran Air took delivery of its first aircraft of this type only in March 2017.
