Feb 12, 2018 (newstodate): Iran Air is to introduce flights to its third destination in Sweden: Malmo Airport in the Oresund region and close to the Danish capital.
Starting from March 31, 2018, Iran Air will thus be offering one weekly rotation on the route from Tehran Imam Khomeini Airport with Airbus A300 aircraft.
Iran Air is already serving Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Gothenburg Airport with flights from Tehran, with three and two weekly rotations, respectively, using Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
Iran Air was also planning to launch flights from Tehran to Copenhagen Airport from November 2017, but plans were stalled over the issue of the carrier's use of armed air marshals which is not permitted by the Danish CAA.
