Feb 09, 2018 (newstodate): Iceland's Keflavik Airport has seen cargo rising in 2017, driven by a steep increase in import volumes.
A total of 56,056 tonnes of cargo was handled in January-December 2017, an increase by 13.2 percent, y-o-y.
Compared to full-year statistics in 2016, imports at Keflavik Airport increased by a hefty 40 percent, y-o-y, to 23,567 tonnes in 2017, while exports remained stable, only 0.7 percent down to 32,488 tonnes.
