Feb 01, 2018 (newstodate): Kazakhstan has now passed the safety audit of ICAO, confirming a high level of compliance with international standards.
The audit was performed in late 2017 and the level of compliance with the requirements of ICAO amounted to 83 percent, which is 21 percent better than the audit indicator of 2009, which was 62 percent.
The improved indicator of Kazakhstan also exceeds by 11 percent the world average level of 72 percent, proving the good shape of Kazakhstan's civil aviation organization.
The latest aviation security audit included 480 key issues in November 2017 against 299 in the earlier audit, which demonstrates the toughening of ICAO requirements.
In 2017, Kazakhstan was also lifted off the EU Black List, allowing all Kazakh carrier access into EU markets.
