Feb 26, 2018 (newstodate): Plans are still alive for the Chinese LCC Lucky Air to start services to Finland in 2018.
According to news reported by the Finnish radio station YLE, Lucky Air is just "delayed" in its preparations, and a new start-up date will soon be announced.
According to earlier plans, Lucky Air would start services from January 17, 2018, on a new route from Kunming via Chengdu continuing to Helsinki Airport with two weekly rotations using Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
Adding to Finnair's flight program to China, Helsinki Airport will then have direct connections to nine Chinese destinations, including Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Chengdu, Kunming, and Hong Kong.
Based at Kunming, Lucky Air, set up in 2004, operates a fleet comprising 43 aircraft.
