Feb 19, 2018 (newstodate): Ukraine International Airlines has now taken delivery of its first of four Boeing 777 aircraft sourced from Asiana Airlines.
Delivered under a lease contract with Aercap, the aircraft will be operated on the carrier's routes from Kiev to New York, Beijing, and Bangkok.
The next three Boeing 777 aircraft are scheduled for delivery in Q1Q3, 2018, after undergoing heavy maintenance checks including tests and checks of all systems, key components and units, performed by Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance, Amsterdam.
The new aircraft will gradually replace the existing fleet of four Boeing 767 aircraft from 2019 and allow UIA to launch new intercontinental routes to destinations including Toronto and Shanghai.
