Feb 23, 2018 (newstodate): The Danish carrier DAT is providing capacity on the resurrected route between Orland and Oslo, in Norway.
Orland Airport, operated by the Royal Norwegian Air Force and an important NATO air base, recently lost its crucial air link to Oslo Airport when FlyViking folded its wings in January 2018.
Now a new virtual carrier, NextMove managed by Heine Richardsen, has been established to secure the air transport solution much in demand among not least the military personnel serving at the base.
DAT was already serving the route on a temporary basis after the demise of FlyViking and its ATR-42 aircraft now provides 11 weekly rotations on the route that is so far the virtual airline's only traffic.
But if successful, more initiatives in Norway's domestic traffic may follow.
