Feb 05, 2018 (newstodate): The Cypriot carrier Cobalt Air will start flights from Larnaca, in Cyprus, to Copenhagen in summer 2018
The first flights by the new carrier will be performed on March 28, 2018, and Cobalt Air will be offering two weekly rotations on the route served with Airbus A319 aircraft.
Cobalt Air performed its first flight on June 1, 2016, set up in the aftermath of the demise of the country's earlier national carrier, Cyprus Airways in 2015.
In the fleet are two Airbus A319 and four Airbus A320 aircraft, but plans are to acquire two Airbus A330-200 aircraft for start of long-haul flights to China, South Africa and the US by September 2018.
Based at Larnaca International Airport, the carrier was granted an AOC on May 18, 2016, and performed its first commercial flight on July 7, 2016.
