Feb 15, 2018 (newstodate): Vehement rumors that China Cargo Airlines will stop its freighter service at Copenhagen Airport from February 2018 were true.
The carrier will perform its last flight at Copenhagen Airport on February 16, 2018, as the Chinese New Year peak ebbs out.
Currently operating three weekly Boeing 777F rotations on the route from Shanghai to Copenhagen and returning via Tianjin to Shanghai, China Cargo Airlines made its first appearance with MD-11F freighters in Copenhagen Airport in January 2007 and has since been on/off as well as repeatedly adjusting its schedule for flights between Shanghai and Copenhagen.
China Cargo Airlines is handled by WFS at Copenhagen Airport while Cargo Care serves as the airline's cargo GSSA in the Nordic markets.
China Cargo Airlines will commence twice-weekly freighter operations at Frankfurt Airport from March 2018, which may have had a bearing on the decision to pull out of the Danish market.
