Feb 15, 2018 (newstodate): The Chinese carrier Beijing Capital Airlines seems still to be planning for a launch of services to Finland.
Already in 2016, Beijing Capital Airlines announced its plans for opening flights between Beijing and Helsinki, in Finland, from May 2017 offering two weekly rotations, but this came to nothing.
The carrier has filed with CAAC for start of services to Helsinki from May 2018, with three weekly rotations using Airbus A330-200 aircraft, while it displays June 22, 2018, as the start date in its own systems.
Plying the route since June 2, 1998, is Finnair that became the first Western European airline to operate a non-stop route between Europe and China.
