Feb 23, 2018 newstodate): The Lithuanian ground handling provider with HQ at Vilnius Airport, Baltic Ground Services is determined to expand its stake in the European market.
Currently serving airlines withy ground handling and not least fueling, BGS has announced its decision to grow from currently 16 to 20 airports before the end of this year, with projects currently maturing in the Czech Republic, Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria.
But BGS aims further than that, intending to grow to 35 airport within five years.
-Our growth will primarily aim at markets in the southern and eastern parts of Europe but we would not exclude the possibility of going even outside Europe, says Vitalis Dudys, Baltic Ground Services Head of Sales and Marketing Department.
-We will of course be facing competition at each new destination opened - but we are fully prepared to meeting this. After all, this has been the case at each new station opened over the last few years.
-Having fulfilled the requirements on quality and safety, only one thing matters to customers: price! And we have proved again and again that we can compete on price at any airport, says Mr Dudys.
Set up in 2005, Baltic Ground Services is part of the Lithuanian group of airline companies Avia Solutions Group.
Starting from spring 2011, the company expanded outside its home market and now operates in Vilnius, Kaunas, Palanga, Riga, Tallinn, Warsaw Modlin, Warsaw Chopin, Krakow, Katowice, Radom, Moscow Zhukovsky, Kiev Zhuliany, Kiev Boryspil, Odessa, Lviv and Ostrava-Mosnov airports.
In these airports, BGS provides services to airlines including Ryanair, Wizz Air, Ukraine International Airlines, the Lufthansa Group, Turkish Airlines, DHL, TAP Portugal, Air France, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, flydubai and others.
