Dec 21, 2018 (newstodate): Turkish Airlines considers Russia a key market for further expansion.
Today, Turkish Airlines operates flights from Istaznbul, Ankara and Antalya to 10 Russian destinations including Moscow, St Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Ufa, Sochi, Rostov-on-Don, Stavropol, Voronezh and Samara.
Turkish Airlines has served also Russian destinations including Novosibirsk and Astrakhan until March 23, 2017, as well as Kaliningrad, Magnitogorsk, Kursk, Murmansk, Surgut, and Tyumen that are however not in the current timetable.
But according to the carrier's General Manager in Russia, Turkish Airlines would like to increase its network in Russia to comprise more destinations such as Makhachkala, Nizhny Novgorod, Tyumen, Omsk and Mineralnye Vody.
At the same time, Turkish Airlines would also like to offer flights from Russia to more destinations in Turkey.
-We are proud of our route network in Russia. Russia is a friendly country for Turkey and Turkish Airlines, the General Manager said in an interview with the Russian media.
