Dec 10, 2018 (newstodate): Turkish Airlines has decided to set up a new route to offer better communication between two Santa Claus contestants. The route will launch from December 5, 2019, connecting Istanbul with Rovaniemi in Finland with three weekly rotations using Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Turkey claims to be the true homeland of Santa, even discovering in 2017 Santa Claus' grave underneath Saint Nicholas Church, in the Demre district of Turkey's south-west province of Antalya. Finland, on the other side, claims to be the live Santa's very own country, and this Christmas a total of 677 Christmas charters will fly to Finavia's five airports in Lapland, including Rovaniemi Airport, which is 89 more flights than last year.
