Dec 13, 2018 (newstodate): As earlier reported, Russia is to see the launch in 2019 of a new airline - We Go Air.
The airline seems to be a joint undertaking involving also several Baltic partners, according to media reports.
The airline is formally established by the management board of Ramport Aero, operator of Moscow Zhukovsky Airport, and the Lithuanian aviation group Avia Solutions Group that was also earlier part-owner of Ramport Aero.
Avia Solutions Group's subsidiary FL Technics has opened a MRO station at Moscow Zhukovsky Airport, and will provide the new carrier with line maintenance while heavy maintenance will be provided by FL Technics in Lithuania.
The Baltic connection does not stop there, however, as the Latvian charter and ACMI carrier SmartLynx will provide aircraft to We Go Air on a lease basis.
In the fleet of We Go Air will be four Airbus A320 Family aircraft with the first commercial flights expected to lift-off by April 2019.
