Dec 17, 2018 (newstodate): If plans materialize, the Moscow region will see the opening of a fourth international airport already within five years.
Behind the project for a new privately-owned Dobrograd Airport some 250 km south of Moscow are a Russian investment company, Dobrograd City and the existing Dobrograd Airport that is currently only used for general aviation.
The planned Dobrograd International Airport will have one 2,500m runway replacing the existing 1,100m runway now in service since August 2017 and allowing for operations by aircraft up to 10 tonnes, as well as helicopters.
