Dec 18, 2018 (newstodate): Norwegian is steadily consolidating its strong position at Finland's Helsinki Airport. The carrier has announced the opening of a further two routes at Helsinki Airport in 2019, introducing flights to Pisa in Italy and Tivat in Montenegro from summer 2019. So far in 2018, Norwegian has already launched flights from Helsinki to to Krakow, Agadir, Tel Aviv and Gdansk. In total, Norwegian will thus be offering direct flights from Helsinki Airport on 40 international routes as well as four domestic routes in 2019, bolstering the carrier's position as the 2nd largest operator at the airport.
Norwegian first opened its base at Helsinki in March 2011 with three aircraft serving a network comprising 13 international and two domestic routes.
