Dec 04, 2018 (newstodate): Finnair is short of aircraft capacity and is now chartering external capacity from other carriers to bolster its domestic and European traffic schedule.
Well-accustomed with Finnair operations, the Danish ACMI provider Jet Time is thus now operating one Boeing 737-800 aircraft on a wet-lease contract with Finnair for routes from Helsinki to Oulu, Gothenburg, Warsaw, Prague, Dusseldorf and Hamburg during this week.
Finnair is also chartering one Boeing 737-700 from the Lithuanian carrier GetJet till end of 2019, and Wideroe is operating one Embraer 190-E2 for Finnair as well.
