Dec 10, 1208 (newstodate): November 2018 saw an increase in Finnair's cargo volumes, up by 11.2 percent, y-o-y.
A total of 15,010 tonnes was carried in the airline's passenger aircraft cargo holds as Finnair has now ended all freighter operations as well as purchase of external capacity like the earlier contract with Japan Airlines.
All market segments performed positively, with the Asian loads up 13.6 percent, North Atlantic loads up 41.5 percent, and the European loads also up 27.1 percent, y-o-y.
Despite the sound growth in November, 11-months' volumes are still 0.2 percent down on 2017, reaching 144,721 tonnes including 106, 389 tonnes on the Asian lanes which was up 12.1 percent, y-o-y.
The 11-months' statistics are however marked by the shortfall by 53 percent of freighter volumes and the drop by 15.2 percent in volumes on the European network.
