Dec 06, 2018 (newstodate): Thanks to e-trade, mail volumes through Estonia's Tallinn Airport are soaring - but cargo volumes lag behind in 2018.
In November 2018, the airport thus saw mail exports up by 41.7 percent, y-o-y, to 144 tonnes, and mail imports also up by 7.7 percent, to 104 tonnes.
Cargo exports were however down by 16.2 percent to 285 tonnes, while cargo imports dropped 25.1 percent to 454 tonnes.
In total, the airport thus handled 986 tonnes of mail and cargo, down 13.8 percent, y-o-y.
During January-November 2018, the airport has been handling 10,547 tonnes of mail and cargo, still up 4.4 percent compared to last year.
Lifting the total is again only the mail volumes, up 12.2 on the export side, and 29.1 percent on the import side.
