Dec 20, 2018 (newstodate): It would require a miracle for Copenhagen Airport to end 2018 with total cargo volumes growth in the black.
In the first 11 months of this year, the airport has handled a total of 327,504 tonnes of cargo, down 1.3 percent, y-o-y,
December 2017 generated 33,747 tonnes of cargo, which was a five-year high volume that would thus need to be overtaken by a large margin to land Copenhagen Airport on a par with 2017 full-year cargo figures.
Of the total volume, integrator traffic generated 71,788 tonnes of cargo which was an increase by 14.3 percent, y-o-y.
At 255,716 tonnes, non-integrator traffic was however down 4.9 percent on 2017 during the 11 months period.
The decline in non-integrator traffic was primarily due to a 22 percent drop in all-freighter volumes and a 7.3 percent drop in trucked volumes, while belly cargo on passenger flights increased by 6.2 percent to 113,716 tonnes.
