Dec 12, 2018 (newstodate): True to its image, Norwegian Cargo is maintaining full radio silence about its plans for GSA services in Denmark, and maybe other markets.
Long rumored, Norwegian Cargo has now abrogated its GSSA contract with AviationPlus in the Danish market, and cargo sales through this provider is said to stop by the end of this week.
It is understood from industry sources that after this, Danish sales will be managed by a new partner in Holland.
Same sources claim that this partner will be EuroGSA, but nothing is confirmed, and Danish forwarders have so far not been informed of the coming changes.
Norwegian Cargo that started operations from May 1, 2013, is a subsidiary of Norwegian and managed by Trine Nygaard who is also not available for comments.
From the start, Kales Airline Services was named Norwegian's cargo GSA in Scandinavia, but Norwegian Cargo later took over own cargo sales in Norway and Sweden, naming AviationPlus its cargo GSSA in the Danish market.
From November 1, 2016, AviationPlus Denmark has been trading under the name EuroGSA but retaining its original name in dealing with Norwegian Cargo.
In the USA, Norwegian Cargo is sold by Strike Aviation and Hermes Aviation, in Asia the provider is Worldwide GSA, in Europe GSSA providers include Kales Airline Services, EuroCargo, AviationPlus and others, and in the Nordic market providers are AviationPlus and Kales Airline Services - all according to the company's current website.
