Nov 09, 2018 (newstodate): Ukraine International Airlines has now phased out its last remaining Boeing 737 Classic aircraft.
The Boeing 737-300 performed its last commercial flight on November 8 and has now been decommissioned alongside other two Boeing 737-300 and one Boeing 737-500 as part of the current fleet expansion program.
UIA was the first Ukrainian carrier to operate the Boeing 737 from 1992.
In the fleet of UIA are now 26 Boeing 737-800 and four Boeing 737-900ER aircraft, with deliveries pending for another three Boeing 737-800 and three Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft to arrive from spring 2019.
