Nov 01, 2018 (newstodate): This year's last Airbus A220-300 delivery for Latvia's airBaltic is now in the air.
The aircraft to become the carrier's 14th started its flight test program with the first lift-off on October 30, 2018, and will now perform a series of flights before heading for airBaltic's base at Riga Airport and commencing commercial operations.
Next year, airBaltic will take delivery of the last six Airbus A220-300 aircraft completing the first order, while having already signed up for 30 more to follow as well as a further batch of 30 aircraft to be scheduled at a later date.
In the carrier's fleet are now 13 Airbus A220-300, 11 Boeing 737 and 12 Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft.
