Nov 06, 2018 (newstodate): For the second month in 2018, cargo volumes in October through Estonia's Tallinn Airport surpassed the 1,000-tonnes level.
A total of 1,1014 tonnes of cargo and mail was handled in October 2018, an increase by 2.8 percent, y-o-y.
Driving the process was mail where export mail volumes increased by 50.2 percent to 152 tonnes and import mail reached 102 tonnes, also up 5.1 percent, y-o-y.
For cargo volumes, exports dropped 1.2 percent to 285 tonnes while imports were down 4.9 percent to 475 tonnes.
During January-October 2018, Tallinn Airport has thus seen its total volumes up by 6.7 percent, y-o-y, to 9,561 tonnes.
The latest figures indicate this year's rebound in cargo at Tallinn Airport that in the same period in 2017 saw a drop by 15.7 percent in volumes.
