Nov 19, 2018 (newstodate): Air Cargo Sweden was launched on November 15, 2018, at a meeting in Stockholm arranged by Swedavia with some 60 invited stakeholders.
But this does not mean that the new cargo community in Sweden is an exclusive club with membership restrictions.
-ACS is to become the prime venue and a one-stop entrance for all stakeholders in and around the industry, and while for instance Swedavia's own airports are included in ACS from the start, all non-Swedavia operated airports in Sweden are indeed invited to join ACS as direct stakeholders as well, says Bas van Goch, Swedavia.
-Other direct stakeholders include airlines and GSAs, freight forwarders, terminal operators, ground handling companies, and property owners, while indirect stakeholders include for example customs, police, trucking companies, various authorities and industrial associations.
-The vision is to enhance the ease of doing business and thus contribute to grow the business through the efforts of Air Cargo Sweden to get all stakeholders to work together, says Mr van Goch.
