Nov 09, 2018 (newstodate): With new owners after the recent bankruptcy, the Norwegian cargo handling company Roadfeeders is now back to "business as usual" as a key stakeholder in Norway's seafood logistics.
Managing the company is Lene Mellum, formerly co-owner of the earlier Roadfeeders where she was also the company's managing director.
-The new owners asked me to stay in office and I have gladly accepted the offer, says Ms Mellum.
-The new investors took over the existing infrastructure and the staff, and we are now working hard to secure our quality of operations and to attract lost customers to return to Roadfeeders. It is of course fully understandable that airlines needed to respond immediately to the turbulent situation as the bankruptcy loomed.
-With a new investor, we can now concentrate fully on working out new smart and efficient service solutions as well as on the future shape of the organization to meet new targets - issues that we lacked the resources to tackle during our period of growing financial distress, says Ms Mellum.
With 134 employees, Roadfeeders opened a new 8,500 sq m cargo terminal at Oslo Airport in July 2016, providing cooling and freezer services to serve the Norwegian seafood export industries and airline customers including Norwegian, KLM/AF Cargo, Cargolux, Japan Air Lines, Singapore Airlines, Thai Cargo, British Airways, Turkish Airlines, United and Finnair.
