Nov 26, 2018 (newstodate): The flow of news reporting Chinese carriers' intention to start services to Finland seems unabated.
Latest addition to a long list of hopefuls is Hainan Airlines that has applied with the Chinese regulator CAAC for rights to launch services on a new route from Guangzhou to Helsinki.
If realized, the carrier will be offering daily rotations on the route starting already from January 7, 2019, with airbus A330 aircraft.
Already serving the route is Finnair with the first flight on September 2, 2005, suspending operations after three years, but returning again from May 6, 2016, and now offering four weekly rotations.
