Nov 27, 2018 (newstodate): New customer of Denmark's aircraft leasing company NAC is the Maldive carrier Manta Air.
NAC has thus delivered one ATR 72-600 aircraft to the carrier that is planning for start of services before the end of 2018 from the Maldives main Velana International Airport to three domestic airports Kudahuvadhoo in Dhaalu atoll, Dharavandhoo in Baa atoll and Thimarafushi in Thaa atoll.
The aircraft reached Velana International Airport on November 12, 2018, and will be the first of two such aircraft on lease contracts with NAC, with the second aircraft to follow before the end of this year.
Manta Air is planning to add also Twin Otter aircraft
Manta Air was founded in 2016 as a joint venture between Deep Blue Private Limited, a local company with multiple investments in tourism, and Umar Mohamed Maniku.
