Nov 05, 2018 (newstodate): As for most other airlines, recruiting pilots is a key challenge for the Lithuanian ACMI carrier Avion Express.
From the start of 2018, Avion Express has introduced a Referral Program encouraging its existing team members to recommend eligible candidates to join the company.
Since its introduction, over 60 pilots have applied, 20 of whom have already joined the company.
Under the the Referral Program, candidates are drawn into the company through the active motivation by existing Avion Express staff enhancing the changes for smooth assimilation into the carrier's culture - and raising the chances for securing stable, long-term commitments.
In the fleet of Avion Express are now a total of 18 Airbus A320 Family aircraft including one A319, 12 A320 and five A321 aircraft.
The airline has secured long-term partnerships with Thomas Cook Airlines and its subsidiary company Condor, as well as SunExpress, and it customer portfolio further comprises carriers including WOW Air, Sky Angkor Airlines, SKY Airline, Vueling, Norwegian, and others.
