Nov 12, 2018 (newstodate): Lithuania's Kaunas Airport has now added Turku, the official Christmas City of Finland, to its route network.
With the first flight between Kaunas and Turku on November 8, 2018, Wizz Air is now providing two weekly rotations with Airbus A320 aircraft on the route.
The route is served as an extension of the current route between Gdansk and Turku, routed Gdansk-Turku-Kanuas.
Wizz Air launched its first flights at Kaunas Airport from March 29, 2016, having established Vilnius as its 14th operational base from April 17, 2011, and adding flights at Palanga Airport starting from March 23, 2016, thus now serving all three airports managed by the holding company Lithuanian Airports
