Speaking at the meeting of the Council for Business Development and Investment, the Director, Financial and Economic Directorate of Manas International Airport OJSC that controls the country's airports, said that cargo volumes in 2018 will increase by 6,000 tonnes.
In 2017, the country's airports handled a total of 31,000 tonnes, and the volume is expected to rise to 37,000 tonnes in 2018.
While the total volumes of commercial flights have not increased in 2018, airlines have been operating larger aircraft, increasing the cargo capacity.
