Nov 22, 2018 (newstodate): The Hungarian LCC Wizz Air has picked Krakow in Poland as its 26th base - and the 5th in Poland.
Starting from May 1, 2019, the carrier will allocate two Airbus A321 aircraft to Krakow Airport, opening routes to 12 destinations from the start.
On the route map from Krakow will be Billund, Oslo, Turku, as well as London, Kiev, Bari, Catania, Larnaca, Nice, Doncaster, Kharkiv, and Kutaisi.
Wizz Air is already operating four other bases in Poland - Warsaw, Katowice, Gdansk and Wroclaw, and is now to drive a recruitment campaign for new crews to man the coming base at Krakow.
