Nov 02, 2018 (newstodate): On the bright side of a successful, but last-ditch turn-around process starting early in 2017, the Danish charter and ACMI carrier Jet Time now reports its first sound financial full-year results.
With a turn-over at DKK 1.1 bio, the carrier landed with DKK 2.5 mio in profits, fully in line with expectations after shifting full focus to optimizing and consolidating its core business: charter and ACMI operations.
Based on this platform, the carrier is now ready to expand again and earlier this month landed an extended contract with TUI Nordic doubling its volume of charter flights from Copenhagen, Malmo and Helsinki.
The new contract requires Jet Time to phase in two more Boeing 737-800 aircraft in addition to the current fleet comprising six units.
The first of the two new leased aircraft, entering commercial service with American Trans Air from 2002, landed at Jet Times' base at Copenhagen on November 1, 2018, after a ferry flight from George T. Lewis Airport in Florida, USA.
Since June 2016, Jet Time is managed by Jorgen Holme as CEO, with Birthe Madsen serving as Jet Time VP, Business Development & Organization.
