Nov 15, 2018 (newstodate): The Danish regional aircraft leasing company Nordic Aviation Capital has started fulfilling a contract with a Taiwanese carrier.
The aircraft lease contract with Taipei-based airline Far Eastern Air Transport Corporation, FAT, comprises delivery of a total of four ATR 72-600 aircraft, of which the first aircraft has now been sent to Taiwan.
Privately-owned Far Eastern Air Transport provides scheduled international passenger and cargo services from its Taipei base to destinations in North-East Asia, South-East Asia, China and Taiwan, as well as scheduled domestic services linking Taipei and Kaohsiung with regional cities.
In the fleet are now 20 aircraft including two ATR 72-600, and four MD-80 Family aircraft, but orders have been placed also for 11 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
