Nov 30, 2018 (newstodate): The national airline of Burkina Faso, Air Burkina is taking in new aircraft from Danish lessor Nordic Aviation Capital.
The carrier has signed a lease contract with NAC for two Embraer E195 and one Embraer E175 aircraft.
The first aircraft was delivered in November 2018, and the remaining E195 and the E175 are planned to join Air Burkina’s fleet in December 2018 and January 2019, respectively.
Based at Ouagadougou Airport, Air Burkina intends to use the aircraft to replace its current fleet of two Embraer E170 aircraft and to expand its network and frequencies.
Besides the two E170 aircraft now to be phased out, the carrier also operates one Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft.
