Nov 07, 2018 (newstodate): Following the accident by Lion Air's Boeing 737 MAX aircraft in October 29, 2018, Boeing is widely expected to issue a safety warning to operators of the aircraft type.
According to reports, Boeing has found malfunctions of the aircraft sensors measuring the aircraft's angle of attack, erroneously causing a steep nose-dive that will require immediate pilot remedial efforts.
Even if contraction is thus taken, the sensor may cause repeated faulty reportings and steep diving at five seconds intervals.
The acute problems may lead to an FAA airworthiness directive to ground the aircraft till further notice.
Some 219 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft including various variants have so far been delivered to customers, with operators including Icelandair, Norwegian and now-defunct Primera Air.
