Nov 14, 2018 (newstodate): The Swedish/British carrier West Atlantic has now put another converted Boeing 737-800 freighter into operation.
Launch customer for the Boeing 737-800 Converted Freighter leased from GECAS, West Atlantic now operates three of four of the aircraft type ordered with a large cargo door, equipped with CFM56-7B engines, and carrying up to 23.9 tonnes of cargo with 12 main deck positions over 2,000 nautical miles.
The fourth aircraft will be delivered in January 2019 after completing conversion at Boeing's modification facility in Shanghai.
